Can you take hcg while nursing

My milk supply has not gone down at all. I work out for 30 mins while my son is sleep. I am doing the Tracy Anderson Glutcentric but I only do the muscle exhaustion.

I do the muscle exhaustion cd bc it helps me keep my very sexy and feminine figure! The hubs loves that we have five kids but I dont look like it. I don't do the cardio cd bc I burn enough calories chasing my five kids around the house daily and bf. I think I am a seasoned vet t the hcg because I have successfully done it before and kept it off while getting prego and bf.

You have to do your research! Do your research! Create a daily journal. Jot down everything you eat and how much of it you ate. Also write how you felt and your daily pros and cons. This will really help you. Create a sustainable meal plan, take vitamins, drink lots of water, find a exercise regimen you love and do it daily mins is fine. I would not rec this to a newbie someone who is just doing the hcg for the first time or a new mother.

You need to be experience with hcg. Like I said it worked for me, I have a 5 month old and he's fine. I am a proud bf mommie of five kids. Without hcg i wouldn't have never lost my weight It works amazing and i never had health problems from it.

Thank you for taking time to visit my blog. I appreciate your comments. Search This Blog. Wednesday, February 16, "Is the hCG diet safe for breastfeeding? I got an email from a blog reader asking, "Is the hCG diet safe for breastfeeding? DO you know? Is it safe to take the HCG drops while nursing? Does it cross over through the breast milk?

Does it affect the breast milk supply or anything? I think the first question to ask is, "Is the hCG diet safe for anyone at all? Hale's Medications and Mother's Milk guide which I own because it's a supplement and not a medication. The definitive answer will need to come from her doctor. Breastfeeding burns about calories per day, and the best research says that breastfeeding mothers need to be consuming a bare minimum of calories per day often more. If a mother is not eating enough calories, her milk supply will suffer.

While they can have their place in certain medical situations, it's not to be taken lightly. I tried to find info on the side effects of hCG injections and found this about the hCG diet on Discovery Health online. According to Discovery Health , "There have been few reports of health problems developing as a result of the hCG diet, although there are some risks, among them an increased risk of blood clots, headaches, restlessness and depression. Also, you may feel, well, like you're pregnant -- swelling, breast tenderness and water retention, anyone?

While this might be a question better answered by an endocrinologist, I would be concerned that along with the other pregnancy symptoms that are a side effect of hCG supplementation, a drop in milk supply could be a potential side effect.

I looked far and wide to find the chemical mechanism by which many mothers experience a drop in milk supply when they become pregnant while still nursing.

Rising levels of progesterone are responsible for the drop in milk supply, but I could not find an answer as to whether hCG supplements could stimulate a rise in progesterone subsequently causing a drop in milk supply even if mom's caloric intake were sufficient.

The hCG diet official page states a breastfeeding myth, "If she fails to eat properly, this will negatively affect the quality of the milk she produces. The baby may not receive nutritious milk if a woman does not eat enough or enough of the right things. I'm not really in the loop in terms of what's popular, and since this diet fad seems to be having its 15 minutes of fame, I wanted to make sure that moms had the info to weigh the risks. I really wish I could just wait until he is at least 6 months but I have to lose weight for my job.

I'm in the military and have to do my physical fitness test soon. I've been working out like crazy, joined a bootcamp, count calories, ect. I've losing weight but not enough. My baby's health, of course, comes first, but I also can't fail.

I have enough milk to make sure he gets at least some breastmilk everyday. I am going to introduce formula slowly, then hopefully slowly go back to exclusive breastmilk when I'm done. Now, I've read on forums where some ppl have done the diet and BF but usually when the baby was only feeding for comfort and eating solids. I would be too afraid because of the toxins, the nutrition value of the milk because of the low cal diet, and of course the info i posted above.

Also, I think those ladies were on the pure HCG shots, not the homiopathic drops. My other big worries are my milk drying up and the baby not latching back on afterwards. Plus, I feel horribly guilty and selfish. I am very emotionally attached to BF. But, like I said, I can't fail my test.

They tape your waist during the test, at this point I wouldn't even pass the max they allow you to be. I would never do this diet. The low calorie diet is not enough to keep up a milk supply and I also do not believe that it's healthy for anyone to be on that kind of a diet. It puts your body in starvation mode like an anorexic. It's not good. This does not sound like a healthy or safe way to lose weight.

And it probably would dry up your milk if you only consume calories a day. And, isn't it kinda obvious Save your money and your milk supply; if you feel like you need to lose weight, do it slowly with modifications to your diet and increasing your activity. There are still debates how and does this diet affect your child so I think it is better to be safe than sorry.

Your son is 6 months old so it is better to wait just a little bit longer before start with this diet. And there are few other ways to lose some weight and they will not endanger your child.

First you could adjust your diet and start with lowering intake of bad foods and increase intake of fruits and vegetables. This is good in various ways as you know by yourself.

Second you can start to work out.
