What is vss wire

As far as SWC goes, I'd have to check what does and doesn't work in mine again, I only really use volume or track. I think the FJ SWC is resistance ladder like others so any poor or bad connections could be a source of trouble, so check your wire taps. It's possible they all don't map. Possibly a silly question but I will ask it, I expect you've got the pin wiring right?

SWC, most but all don't always work or learn,. Thanks, appreciate it. I have it wired like the pictures but regardless still have the issues. So I had another go at it today and got it working easily. So I replaced them with a size down and everything worked no worries. All steering wheel controls work and also the VSS. Wireless Carplay and iOS Really nice stuff. Now fingers crossed Hema Maps will release a Carplay ready version!

Yeah I never trust those things and usually solder everything. Just seemed odd that some stuff worked but other stuff didn't. Wireless CarPlay! Time to upgrade my I ummd and ahhhd about wireless CarPlay for a long time, but then figured I was going to be plugging in the phone to charge it, so I didn't really need wireless. Quote from: AnyMules on Sep, Hey mate, I just meant when you use those apps they use both the kenwood display and the phone display and swapping apps does on both screens.

Thread starter dremd Start date Oct 31, First off I should say that I'm not yet sure that my pioneer NEX even supports speed volume, BUT the harness does have a wire labeled vehicle speed sensor. That said, can I just tap something? Can I get some sort of CAN bus decoder module?

As always, wow, thank you incredibly helpful. Now as soon as I get the steering wheel adapter to work I'll be all set. I think I'm wrong. According to the wiring diagram attached above the red green wire is a feed in to the combination meter not the PCM. If you are looking at the PCM, the No. Also the combination meter is another term for the cluster.

It is a combination of meters. Images Click to enlarge. I wonder if it matters if I connect to the red or the green wire. I also have not found any of the pin numbers on my ECM plugs. I ve searched them several times with a magnifying glass. You should be able to connector to either because I suspect the number will be the same just a positive or negative depending on which one you connected too. Here is a pin chart of the ECM connectors. This is looking at the connector so the numbers just go right to left.

Is it E9 or which one? Unfortunately, they do not give us pin break downs on this. However, according to the wiring diagrams the speed sensor is on E7 pin 5 and If you look at the first attachment of the wiring diagram I gave before, you will see in the lower right hand corner of the ECM it says E7.
